Testing facilities
We work to high quality standards, introduced for Immenstaad and Hagnau in the course of our certification according to DIN EN 9100:2009 and DIN EN ISO 9001:2008. DIN EN 9100:2009 is equivalent to SAE AS 9100C and JISQ 9100:2009 certification.
Our non-destructive testing (NDT) Department is DIN EN ISO 9712 and DIN EN 4179 trained and with a handheld ultrasound flaw detector equipped. Furthermore we do a specific surface assessment of fibre composite components, our quality assurance also employs modern electronic measurement systems, such as radio measurements, flexible 3D measuring-arm technology and laser-scan measurements. In our in-house materials and quality assurance laboratory, we prepare microsections and record macroscopic and microscopic digital images using our direct-light microscope.
In cooperation with our partner Airbus we offer static and dynamic structural tests, as well as EMC and lighting-protection tests on sample items. Our experience in this area stems from knowledge and methods gained in applications in aircraft construction and experiences from our own tests. In addition, thanks to external cooperation partners, we also have access to non-destructive testing (NDT) methods such as X-ray, computer tomography and thermography. Our range of services also includes tension and compression testing and DMA, DSC and FVC testing.
Recycling
ACE is about to develop a recycling concept to allow fibre composite components to be reintegrated into the value-added cycle at the end of their useful life. This recycling concept is, however, in its infancy and will undergo further development in cooperation with our customers. As a manufacturer of components, we aim to align ourselves with our customers' entire material cycle and are on-hand as an expert partner for all issues relating to fibre composites.
